Assault With A Deadly Weapon Location: 1800 Block of Monroe
Two brothers got into a fight at their home and one brother cut the other with a box cutter. The wounded brother walked to the Police Department where he reported that he had been stabbed. The Fire Department arrived to render first aid. As officers were responding to the home, the suspect brother also walked into the Police Department and surrendered. He was arrested and booked into County Jail.

Vehicle Tampering Location: 100 Block of Saratoga Avenue
A witness reported seeing two subjects attempting to break into a vehicle at an apartment complex. Officers located the suspects, a juvenile and an adult, and the witness positively identified them. The suspects were transported to the Temporary Holding Facility. The juvenile was cited and released to his mother and the adult suspect was cited and released.

Vandalism Location: 3100 Block of El Camino Real
The victim stopped his vehicle at a red light, but was a few feet into the crosswalk. The 73-year-old suspect was crossing the street and was unhappy about having to walk around the vehicle. The suspect used his cane to strike the victim’s vehicle numerous times and smash the windshield. The elderly suspect continued on his way to a local restaurant where he was arrested. He was booked into County Jail.

Assault Location: 3000 Block of Benton Street
The victim was walking on the sidewalk in front of a high school when he was approached by three adult male suspects who demanded cigarettes and money. The victim told them that he did not have either. The suspects assaulted the victim, leaving him with a bloody lip and facial injuries. The suspects then fled.

Robbery Location: Scott and Homestead
A female victim was approached by two suspects as she got off of a bus. As she was walking away, one of the males displayed a gun. The suspects took the woman’s purse and then fled in a vehicle driven by a third suspect. The suspects have not been identified.

Officer Barbour stopped a vehicle that was speeding and weaving. The driver was under the influence. He was arrested and processed at the Temporary Holding Facility.

Intruder Location: 800 Block of Aldo
The owner of a closed fast food restaurant called to report an intruder. Officers responded and made contact with the suspect. The suspect was unable to exit the restaurant because the front door was locked. Officers entered the restaurant through a back door and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The suspect had been in the restaurant when the employees left the previous night.

DUI Location: Los Padres Blvd. & El Capitan Ave.
Officer Fraser approached a vehicle and asked the driver to put the car into park and turn off the ignition. When asked for his driver’s license, the driver gave Officer Fraser a credit card. After failing a field sobriety test the suspect was arrested for DUI.

Burglary Location: 4300 Great America Parkway
A security guard called to report that someone was shooting at the glass front doors of a neighboring business. When Officer N. Crescini arrived, he found the suspect crawling out of the store. The suspect had used a BB gun to shatter the glass door and effect entry. The suspect was taken into custody.

A female victim called to report that her boyfriend had assaulted her, and she had minor injuries. The boyfriend was located at his residence later that day. He was arrested and booked into County Jail.

Assault With A Deadly Weapon Location: 2400 Block of Karen Drive
Two women were involved in an argument when the suspect confronted the victim with a kitchen knife. In self defense, the victim grabbed a golf club. The suspect grabbed the golf club causing it to break into two pieces, which she used to strike the victim. The suspect was arrested and booked into County Jail.

Disturbance Location: Police Department
A male subject pushed the intercom button on one of the Police Department gates and stated “I am Batman and I need to get into the Bat Cave.” Officer Parker arrived as the man was making his way towards the front door of the Police Department. He was found to be heavily intoxicated. He was arrested for being drunk in public and was taken to the Temporary Holding Facility.

Burglary Location: 2000 Block of Warburton
A man drove by his friend’s car and noticed that it was being broken into by three males. Two of the males got into a red Honda Civic that did not have any license plates. Officer Thompson observed the vehicle as it circled the area. The vehicle was stopped and the two occupants were positively identified by witnesses. The third suspect, who was the owner of the Honda, has not been located.
