Santa Clara Sporting 93B Mens U19 "SuperGroup" Teams Wins Santa Clara Sporting Invitational Title. After going 3-0 in Bracket D by a combined 12-3 score, Santa Clara Sporting 93B advanced to the championship brackets where they defeated Ajax United East Bay 94B 2-0 and CAP FC United 93 Rose 3-0; sending them to the championship game where they defeated David Legacy SC International 2-1.

Santa Clara Sporting 99B Boys U-12 Team Wins Santa Clara Sporting Invitational. After winning Bracket B by going 3-0 and outscoring their opponents 10-0, the U-12 Boys defeated Diablo FC 99B 3-0, then beat the Mustang Red Bulls 4-2 before claiming the championship victory 4-2 over Central Marin SC Arsenal.

Santa Clara Native Carlos Hernandez Continues Pitching Well for Oakland A's AAA Affiliate Sacramento Rivercats. Despite suffering two straight losses on August 8 and August 3, the former Santa Clara High School standout pitcher sports a 6-5 record with 59Ks and a 4.84 ERA.

Westside Little League Fall Ball Registration Saturday, August 13 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Monday, August 15 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Westside Little League. Major and Minor division practice will start in mid-to-late August through the last Sunday of October. Practices are once a week, games to be played Sundays beginning September 11 against other leagues. Eight games guaranteed. $45 registration includes Fall Ball T-shirt. Briarwood Little League Fall Ball Registration Briarwood will be offering Fall Ball to Minor and Major Level age players (ages 8-12). Signups will be August 13-14 and 20-21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Snack Bar. Cost is $50 All games will be played on Sunday. Games will be played Sunday afternoons at different locations based on participation from other leagues. Practices will be held every Friday with optional Saturday practice. Dynasty snaps three-game losing streak with 8-7 win over Hard Ninety Angels. On Saturday, August 7 the Santa Clara Dynasty played an early game at James Lick High School. Catcher Brad Davis led the Dynasty offense with two hits and three RBI. Pitchers Kyle Hatzenbuhler and Patrick Little held the Angels offense to seven hits and combined for 10 strikeouts. Next, the Dynasty take on the SVABP Reds on Sunday, August 14 at 1:30 p.m. The game will be played at James Lick High School in San Jose.
