D.U.I.- Hit and Run Accident                         

 Location:  El Camino Real and Los Padres Blvd.

Officer Lang responded to a hit and run accident. The victim had been able to obtain the license plate to the suspect's vehicle. Officer Lang located the vehicle with the heavily inebriated driver still behind the wheel.  The suspect was arrested and booked at S.C.P.D.

Domestic Violence                                        

Location:  Lafayette St. and Market St.

Officer Henry responded to the area to investigate the report of a female victim of domestic violence. Upon his arrival, he found the victim inside a vehicle. She had a swollen bloody nose, a large bruise on the right side of her chest, and bruising on the inside and outside of both her upper arms. The suspect fled prior to police arriving and is being sought at this time.

 

Domestic Violence                                        

 Location:  1900 block Downing Ct.

Officers Bell and McDowell responded to a domestic violence incident.  Officers learned that the suspect attempted to choke the victim with both hands and threatened to kill her.  After the assault, the suspect fled but was apprehended by officers at Lawrence Square. The suspect and victim had been dating each other for the past 10 years and lived together.

Assault and Battery                                       

Location:  2700 block Homestead Rd.

Officers Malae and Guthrie responded to a disturbance at a grocery store that involved a theft and an assault. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspects were taken into custody by a loss prevention officer. While taking them into custody, one suspect assaulted the loss prevention officer and had a $10,000 warrant. Both suspects were booked at S.C.P.D.

Robbery                                                           

Location:  2000 block White Oak Ln.

An unknown suspect robbed a liquor store at gunpoint. The suspect took approximately $200.00 in cash, displayed a pistol, and later fled. Video security was recovered, and witness statements were taken.

 

D.U.I. - Accident                                               

Location:  100 block Winchester Blvd.

A drunk driver crashed through a city owned fence. He attempted to extricate his vehicle from the fence so he could flee the scene. An S.J.P.D. unit happened to be driving by.  The officer detained the driver until S.C.P.D. units could arrive and take him into custody. The suspect was arrested and booked at S.C.P.D.

Assault and Battery                                     

Location:  2100 block Scott Blvd.

Officers responded to a report of a fight in a parking lot. Upon arrival, they found the victim of a battery who also claimed that one of the suspects in the assault had attempted to stab him.  Additionally, one of the suspects flattened 3 of the tires on the victim's vehicle. The suspect was located and arrested for the vandalism. The other suspect is still outstanding.

Location:  400 block El Camino Real

Officers responded to a report of a single car collision.  Upon arrival, they found a totaled Infinity with a single intoxicated female driver. Unfortunately, she lost control and sheared off a city owned street light. She failed the sobriety tests and was arrested and booked at S.C.P.D.
