Loitering
 Location:  400 block Sapena Ct.
An excessive number of cars and people unexpectedly converged in the area associated with the grand opening of a business. Small compact cars rigged for racing were on display with loud music and graphic displays.  People packed themselves into adjacent business parking lots and meandered about the streets. Traffic, while usually light in this area on Sundays, was heavy with cars and foot traffic.  Several officers responded and cleared the area.

Vehicle Theft / Recovery
Location:  Kifer Rd. at Lawrence Expy.
Officers Blass and Filo saw what appeared to be a rolling disturbance on the expressway.  They stopped one of the involved vehicles.  The officers suspected the vehicle was stolen. The vehicles owner was contacted and confirmed that it had been stolen. The driver was arrested and booked at S.C.P.D.

Domestic Violence
Location:  El Camino Real and Pomeroy Ave.
A witness called as a male and female were involved in a physical assault as they got into a taxi. The suspect was found several blocks away beating on the taxi window and assaulting the victim.  The suspect was arrested and booked at S.C.P.D.  The female was arrested for a number of large warrants.

Traffic Accident - Minor Injury
Location:  2850 Monroe St.
Officers responded to a report of an accident.  The driver was struck broadside after she backed out of a driveway and then attempted to make a U-turn in front of an oncoming vehicle. The second vehicle also struck a parked car. One driver sustained a facial laceration.  Both drivers were taken to the hospital for further examination.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Location:  2100 block Scott Blvd.
The suspect and victim had a heated exchange outside a bar.  A physical confrontation ensued and the victim was hit over the head with a tire iron.  The victim sustained a 1 1/2 inch laceration.  The suspect has not been identified.

Burglary
Location:  10 block Saratoga Ave.
The manager identified the suspect from surveillance video of a burglary. It appears the recently fired employee made a copy of the key to the store. He went into the store and took cash. Officers went to the suspect’s residence. They recovered most of the cash. They also recovered evidence from a previous burglary. The suspect was arrested and booked at S.C.P.D.

Hit and Run – Accident
Location:  Scott Blvd. and Walsh St.
Officer Martin came upon a traffic collision.  One driver had fled the scene. Shortly thereafter, Officer Cusimano found the injured suspect walking on Lafayette St.  The suspect was arrested.
 
Domestic Violence
Location:  1800 block Joan Wy.
The suspect got into an argument with his live-in girlfriend of nine years. The suspect was intoxicated and tried to leave in their car. The victim tried to stop him from driving by taking the car keys. During the struggle, the suspect struck his girlfriend in the mouth with his fist. The suspect was arrested and booked at S.C.P.D.
