Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Location: 1500 block Agnew Rd.
Officer Torke investigated a domestic assault that occurred over the last week. The suspect had assaulted his girlfriend on a number of occasions. He attempted to smoother her with a pillow, struck her with a large wooden stick, menaced her with a knife, and lacerated her thigh. Officers D.Bell, Martin, and Rojas responded to the suspect’s place of employment and arrested him. He was booked into Santa Clara County Jail

Monday, February 4, 2008
Domestic Violence
Location: 1600 block Roll St.
Officer Martinez investigated a domestic violence incident on February 2, 2008. He completed an arrest affidavit at that time. He attempted to contact the suspect at the residence today. There was no answer at the door, though he believed the suspect was at the residence. Officer Martinez remained in the area and saw the suspect's sister driving the suspect away from the residence. The vehicle was stopped and the suspect was arrested.

Outside Jurisdiction Assistance
Location: Tully and Senter
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department requested our K9 unit to assist in a search for a vehicle theft the suspect that had fled on foot. K9 Officer Johnsen responded with Officer N. Crescini. Officer Johnsen's canine picked up a scent and located the suspect. The suspect was arrested.

Burglary
Location: 2200 block Monroe St.
A woman was home when the suspect, approximately 30 years old, broke into the residence through a window. She scared him off and he fled through the front door. Officers responded and searched the area. The suspect was not located. The investigation is ongoing.

Under the Influence of Drugs
Location: 1400 block Coleman Av.
The suspect, having ingested too much methamphetamine, mistook vehicles entering a parking lot as some type of threat. He was throwing objects at the cars and waiving a stick around. He was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail.

Friday, February 8, 2008
Robbery
Location: 2900 block Scott Blvd.
The suspect walked into a bank and presented a demand note to one of the tellers. The note had instructions about handing over some cash and gave no indication of a weapon. The teller complied with the demand. The suspect fled on foot. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect. Detective Sgt. Souza arrived to meet with bank security to retrieve video of the robbery. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers L. Martin and Leipelt drove to San Quentin Prison to pick up a prisoner who was about to be released. The warrant for the suspect was $100,000.00. The suspect was wanted in connection with a 7-11 store robbery in Santa Clara from late last year.
