Armed Robbery
Location: 3200 block Stevens Creek Blvd.
The suspect walked into a small market and pointed a handgun at the clerk. She gave cash to the suspect. He fled in a black mustang. Officers responded to the scene and checked the area. Officer Lee took possession of the in-store video footage of the robbery. The investigation is on going.

D.U.I
Location: Kiely Blvd. and Kaiser Dr.
The suspect collided with a fire hydrant. His vehicle became lodged atop the fountain of water until S.C.F.D. was able to turn the sheared hydrant off. The suspect was determined to have consumed excessive alcohol prior to driving. He was arrested and booked for D.U.I.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery / Accident
Location: Homestead Rd. and Scott Blvd.
Officer Wilson attempted to stop a vehicle as a result of a vehicle code violation. The vehicle stopped initially, but sped away when he got off his motorcycle. The vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and struck a tree. Arrests were made without further incident. The vehicle had been reported stolen.

Burglary
Location: 800 block Aldo Av.
Officers responded to suspicious circumstances at a restaurant. The witness saw a suspicious vehicle leave the parking lot 3 times. Officers discovered that the suspects smashed the front window out, wrapped a chain around the ATM machine and pulled it from its base. The unit was destroyed in their efforts to retrieve the cash.

Burglary
Location: 1900 block Halford Av.
A witness reported glass breaking with a car alarm sounding and a white van leaving an apartment complex. Officer Fontaine from Sunnyvale DPS heard our call on his scanner and stopped the van with two suspects. The stolen GPS, a methamphetamine pipe, and a crowbar were found under the front passenger seat. The suspects were booked into County Jail.

Theft
Location: 200 block Saratoga Av.
Officer Bertauche was in the parking lot of a grocery store. Two male suspects ran across the parking lot with civilians chasing them in what appeared to have been a theft from the store. Officer Bertauche captured one subject at the corner of San Tomas Exp. and Saratoga Av. Officer Bertauche continued looking for the second suspect. Prior to locating him, other witnesses pointed to a related vehicle as it fled the scene. Officer Bertauche stopped it and found stolen beer and other alcohol inside the passenger compartment. The driver was on parole. She and the other suspect were arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
