Weapons Call
Location: El Camino Real at Kiely Blvd
A citizen reported that there was an armed man riding a VTA bus. The citizen described the suspect as a Hispanic male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a bandana across his face. Officers located the bus on El Camino Real near Lawrence Expressway. Approximately 20 passengers were removed from the bus. The citizen was unable to identify the suspect and it was determined the suspect exited at an earlier stop. The suspect was not located.

Racers
Location: El Camino Real at Lawrence
Officer Lagergren observed a driver spin his tires while leaving a parking lot. The officer activated his emergency equipment and the driver tried to flee. The driver accelerated rapidly, lost control and struck a curb. The driver was arrested without incident.

Monday, March 24th, 2008
Felony Warrant
Location: 1500 block of Arbuckle Court
Officer Lange made contact with a person sleeping in his vehicle. The person was on active probation and had several outstanding warrants. The officer searched the vehicle and found lock picking tools and items associated with stealing gasoline. The person was arrested without incident.

Robbery-Backpack
Location: 2600 block of The Alameda
Officers responded to investigate a “purse snatch.” The victim reported that her backpack was forcibly taken. The suspect was last seen heading towards Hwy 880. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 1700 block of Catherine
A citizen reported that a wanted person was inside a residence. With the information provided, officers confirmed the subject had outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Officers conducted surveillance and eventually made contact with the wanted man. He was arrested without incident.

Thursday, March 27th, 2008
Traffic Accident
Location: 1700 block of Walsh Ave.
Officers investigated a major injury accident. One driver was trapped inside his car and suffered injuries. Santa Clara Fire Department personnel extricated the driver and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. The injuries were not life threatening.

Friday, March 28th, 2008
Robbery- Strong Arm
Location: 200 block of Halford Ave.
The victim was walking N/B on Halford approaching Poinciana. The suspect approached the victim from behind and demanded her purse. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground, punched her, and forcibly removed her purse. The suspect fled on foot and wasn’t located. The suspect was described as a black male adult in his 20’s.

Saturday, March 29th, 2008
Assault and Battery
Location: 4900 Great America Parkway.
Two adult males were involved in a road rage incident on the freeway. They pulled over to a parking lot and had a fistfight. The two fought and kicked each other’s cars, causing large dents. Police were called, but neither party desired prosecution.
