2000 Block of White Oak Lane

After reporting his vehicle stolen, a man requested that an officer provide him with a ride home. Before the man got into the patrol car, Officer Lagergren discovered methamphetamine in a cigarette pack in his pocket. The man was arrested and taken to County Jail.

2200 Block of El Camino Real

The vctim and suspect are former girlfriend/boyfriend, and she is pregnant with their child. The victim has a restraining order against the suspect. The suspect discovered that the victim was staying at a motel. He went to the motel and smashed a window using a metal pick. The window that he smashed was for the room next to the victim. After smashing the window, the suspect fled.

Location: 800 Block of Aldo

Officer McDowell responded to an alarm at a fast food restaurant. An unknown suspect had cut a hole in the roof. It did not appear that the suspect gained entry into the restaurant. The reporting party claimed that nothing was missing. Officer McDowell located several items of evidence, including a fingerprint. These items were booked into evidence.

Sergeant Oliver stopped a motorist for a traffic violation. The driver was a parolee who did not have a valid drivers license. The vehicle was towed and the parolee received a traffic citation.

900 Block of El Camino Real

An officer found a person lying on the ground in front of a fast food restaurant. The man had been assaulted after leaving a bar. He had been knocked unconscious and had a cut on his lip. The man was taken to Valley Medical Center. Officers searched the area and the bar but did not locate the suspect.

Location:  3200 Block of Cabrillo Avenue

A heavily intoxicated man kicked a car parked on the street, causing damage to the passenger side door and the rear view window. A resident detained the suspect until the police department

arrived.  Officer Henderson arrested the suspect and transported him to our Temporary Holding Facility.

A motorist, who claimed to have dodged another vehicle that cut her off, drove into the front door of a coffee shop. Her car stopped against the front counter. No one was injured in the crash.

School officials called Child Protective Services to report the possible child abuse of students who were living with their family at a motel. Officer Bertauche and a social worker responded to this call. When they arrived at the motel, they discovered that the children were living in unfit conditions. The children were taken to a shelter.

Officer Barry responded to a report of an auto burglary. When he arrived, the victim identified the suspect, who was walking through a grocery store parking lot. Officer Barry stopped the suspect and conducted a consent search of his person. Several items belonging to the victim were found during the search.

Location:  2300 Block of Monroe

A citizen called to report that a vehicle was blocking his driveway. The driver, who was identified as a neighbor, was still wearing his seatbelt and the car was in gear. The driver was barely able to stand and could not complete the Field Sobriety Tests. He was arrested for DUI.

Location:  Pruneridge and Lawrence Expressway

While waiting for a traffic signal to change, a driver passed out at the wheel of his vehicle. It took officers some considerable effort to wake him so that he could be arrested. Officers blocked his car and removed his car keys before he could attempt to move the vehicle.

Officer Niesen stopped a man riding his bicycle for a traffic violation. The man consented to a search of his person. Officer Niesen found methamphetamine in the man’s pants pocket. He claimed that the pants were not his. He was arrested.
