Drug Arrest
3200 Block of El Camino Real
Officers Nguyen and J. Green responded to a noise complaint at a motel. Upon arrival, they made contact with three individuals. Two were arrested for possession of heroin, being under the influence of methamphetamine and heroin and possession of needles. One of the individuals arrested was a 68 year-old man.

Vandalism
1600 Block of Civic Center Drive
A citizen reported a large amount of graffiti on a wall facing a parking lot. The security camera for the property showed a juvenile male subject tagging the property. This was one of three vandalism incidents reported that day.

Grand Theft
Location: 3500 Block of Bassett
A business owner contacted police to report the theft of approximately $21,000. worth of copper HVAC piping from the roof of his business. Officer Lee responded to investigate the incident and learned that the theft had occurred the first week of June. There were no leads available.

Assault With a Deadly Weapon
Location: Central Park
A road rage incident occurred between a young male driving a van and another motorist. The suspect driver apparently became angry over the way the young man was parking his van. He got out of his vehicle with a lead pipe and threatened the driver of the van. He continued to wave the lead pipe around until the police arrived, arrested him and towed his car.

Suspicious Circumstances
Location: Intersection of Homestead and Washington
While on patrol, Officer Haverty noticed an oil bottle in the middle of the road. Upon closer inspection, he found the lid of the bottle to be loosened and it was filled with white paint. This appears to be related to the paint bottle vandalism that has been occurring for the past several months. The bottle was photographed and processed for evidence.

Terrorist Threats
Location: 1500 Block of Kiely Blvd.
A clerk at a convenience store claimed that a man had demanded money from the storeowner. In addition, the man threatened to harm the clerk and burn down the building if his demands were not met. The suspect had used this ploy to acquire money from the owner twice earlier that week. The suspect was on parole and was arrested and taken to County Jail for mental health issues.

Under the Influence
Location: Bing and Homestead
Officers responded to a report of a prowler near a preschool. Upon arrival, they found a man and a woman sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot. When questioned, the man became verbally abusive. It was discovered that he was on parole for armed robbery. He was taken to Valley Medical Center for medical concerns.

Prowling
Location: Bing and Homestead
While searching for the prowler in the above report, officers discovered a man hiding behind the preschool near the dumpster. After interviewing the person who reported the prowler, the man was arrested for prowling.

Friday, June 20th, 2008
Disturbance
Location: 3400 Block of El Camino Real
Officers responded to the report of a disturbance at a karaoke studio. While there, officers observed numerous patrons who were intoxicated and were smoking both inside and outside the building. Empty bottles of hard liquor were found in the parking lot and associated with the patrons. The business is able to serve beer but must have food items available for purchase and consumption (per their liquor license). No food was found.

Drug Arrest
Location: 2300 Block of El Camino Real
While conducting a check of adult book stores, Officer D. Bell contacted a male after the male attempted to avoid contact with the police by slipping inside a private booth. Contact was made when the man emerged from the booth and walked outside where officers were waiting. The man was found to be on probation and to have several warrants. He was also in possession of methamphetamine and a pipe. He was taken to County Jail.
