Sunday, July 13th, 2008     

 
Drug Arrest                                                             
Location: 3400 Block of Flora Vista Avenue
Officer Lagergren stopped a car for expired vehicle registration tabs. The driver was on parole. A methamphetamine pipe was located in the vehicle and the driver was found to be under the influence of methamphetamine. The driver was arrested and taken to County Jail.

Monday, July 14th, 2008

 
Drug Arrest                                                             
Location: 640 Block of Kiley Blvd.
Officers responded to a call from a locksmith who had entered a house to change the locks due to a foreclosure. The locksmith found a number of marijuana plants growing in the garage of the house. A search of the garbage revealed information that identified potential suspects. After the search was completed, Officer Enos set up a surveillance on the house. A short time later, one of the suspects returned to the house and was arrested.

Warrant Arrest                                                        
Location: San Tomas Expressway & Cabrillo
Officer D. Bell stopped a driver for a mechanical violation. The driver had a no bail warrant for driving with a suspended license. The drivers license was still suspended. He was arrested and booked into County Jail and his vehicle towed.

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008
 
Missing Juvenile                                                               
Location: 2000 Block of Nobili.
A two-year–old boy managed to open the front door to his house and went for a walk. Fortunately, he ran into neighbors who called the Police Department. Officer B. Lee searched the neighborhood looking for the child’s home. He found a house with children’s toys in the yard and an open front door, so he knocked and made contact with the boy’s family. They did not know that the boy was missing. Officer Lee called the boy’s mother at work, and waited at the residence until she arrived.

Drunk In Public                                                      
Location: 2500 Block of Amethyst Drive
Officers Bertauche and Malae responded to assist the Fire Department with a call regarding two intoxicated female juveniles. One of the girls was found laying down on the sidewalk and was transported to the hospital for possible alcohol poisoning. The other female was arrested for being drunk in public. The arrested girl’s mother was contacted and agreed to pick up her daughter.

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

 
Vandalism                                                   
Location:  Main Street & Market Street
While on surveillance, Detectives Lopez and Tanquary, and Sergeant Middlekauff observed a suspect dropping a paint filled container at Lafayette and Santa Clara Streets. The canister exploded, causing damage to the roadway. The suspect was stopped and arrested. A search warrant was obtained for the suspect’s residence and the search revealed incriminating evidence. This was a successful conclusion to an on going problem.

Vandalism                                                   
Location:  3900 Block of Stevens Creek Bvd
A man on a bicycle rode through a carwash where he grabbed an unattended purse. The female owner of the purse chased after the suspect. Bystanders who witnessed the event followed the suspect in their vehicle. The suspect crashed his bicycle and was injured. The suspect was transported to Valley Medical Center. He was discovered to have several outstanding warrants and was arrested.

Friday, July 18th, 2008

 
Robbery                                                       
Location:  2200 Block of Tasman
The victims were in a fast food restaurant. Four male suspects threatened to assault the victims if they did not empty their pockets. One suspect simulated having a weapon in his pocket. The San Jose Police helicopter crew observed two possible suspects leaving the area. The suspects were detained and were identified in a line-up.

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

 
Robbery                                                       
Location:  2200 Block of Royal Drive
A male victim was walking in Warburton Park when he was accosted by the suspect. At knifepoint, the suspect demanded the victim’s keys and then fled the area. The suspect was wearing a long black coat and was riding a yellow bike. He has not been located.
