Location:  Coleman Avenue and Highway 880

An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Saratoga Avenue with a large crack on the front windshield. The vehicle turned onto Highway 280 at an unusually high rate of speed, straddled two lanes for an extended period of time and made multiple rapid lane changes without signaling.

Assault

Location: Mark Avenue and Bowers Avenue

An officer observed a vehicle with expired registration tabs. The officer initiated a traffic enforcement stop and came to a final stop on the 2800 block of Mark Avenue.

A Records check revealed the male subject’s real identity and discovered he had four civil restraining orders against him, and one of the protected persons was the passenger in the vehicle. The officer placed the subject under arrest and transported him to the Santa Clara County Jail.

The victim revealed five separate documented incidents of domestic abuse at the hands of the subject and that the subject had recently rented a room to hide the victim from the District Attorney’s Office to avoid several pending domestic violence cases. The officer contacted an on call judge and worked to obtain an emergency protection order for the victim.
